***CAUTION***
I will not perform a waxing service if you are using specific medications like Accutane, have sunburns, open wounds, or active skin infections.
Accutane (Isotretinoin): You cannot be waxed while on Accutane or if you have taken it in the past 6 months, as it thins and severely compromises the skin.
Retin-A / Retinol: Waxing while using topical retinoids on the face or body can cause the skin to lift. You generally need to stop using these for 5–7 days prior to waxing.
Antibiotics & Blood Thinners: Certain antibiotics and blood thinning medications can make your skin highly sensitive and prone to bruising or lifting.
Skin Conditions & Injuries
Sunburns & Tanning: Estheticians will not wax skin that is peeling, sunburned, or has been in a tanning bed within the last 24–48 hours.
Lesions & Rashes: Active cold sores, warts, eczema, psoriasis, or any open cuts/rashes in the treatment area.
Skin Diseases: Conditions like Lupus or AIDS require clearance from a doctor.
Active Infections & Illness
Contagious Illnesses: Having a cold, flu, fever, or an active viral infection.
Bacterial/Fungal Infections: Impetigo, boils, or yeast infections will cause your appointment to be canceled.
